About the event

Join Dana Stein, owner of Native Loom Goods - textile artist, weaver, and herbalist, for a beginner-friendly introduction to Southern folk herbalism.

This is the kind of plant knowledge passed on over dinner tables and front porches, not written in textbooks.

Early spring meant watching the ground for pokeweed to come up—when it did, it was all folks talked about after church, during dinner, and everywhere in between.

What we call “common weeds” were once trusted medicine, known well by our grandmothers.

In this workshop, we’ll gather, share stories, and make a tincture together using the traditional folk method.

We all come from herbalists, whether we remember it or not. Materials to bring: Journal and pen for notes & any favorite herb/plant books to share 🍃
