Textile Artist // Weaver // Herbalist
I’m Dana Stein, a Nashville native, herbalist, and educator with a deep love for plants and community. For over 25 years I’ve worked with horticulture, specializing in herbalism, foraging, and folk plant traditions—always with the hope of helping people reconnect with the natural world.
I created Native Loom Goods as a way to weave together my passions for herbal medicine, handwoven textiles, and community care. My teaching style blends science with storytelling, and I believe plants have the power to transform our lives—whether by healing, nourishing, or simply bringing us closer to the earth. Through my products, foraging walks, and workshops, I’m grateful for the chance to share this love of plants with others.

KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS
"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Native Loom Goods. I had a collection of old sentimental clothes that I’d been storing for years because I just couldn’t bring myself to part with them. Instead of letting them sit in a box any longer, I entrusted them to her—and I’m so glad I did. She thoughtfully transformed those cherished pieces into the most beautiful decorative rug. Every time I look at it, I see the memories woven right into the fabric. The craftsmanship is incredible, and you can truly feel the care and intention behind her work. What once felt like clutter I couldn’t let go of has now become a meaningful, functional piece of art in my home. I’m beyond grateful for the creativity, skill, and heart she puts into what she does. I would wholeheartedly recommend Native Loom Goods to anyone looking to turn treasured textiles into something timeless and beautiful."
KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS
"Dana, your mimosa tincture is life changing!! For the first time in MONTHS, I felt peaceful and rested when I woke. I NEEDED this so much. I just laid in bed for 30min appreciating the way my body felt....it literally felt like it was healing itself again."
KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS
"I love your Mimosa tincture! On nights when I need to sleep but I’m too wound up from the day it is so helpful. It’s also been very useful for rest in times of extreme emotional stress. Typical sleep supplements make me feel hung over and give me awful dreams that don’t equate with feeling rested. I don’t experience the grogginess with the Mimosa tincture."
KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS
"I love the wall hanging that Dana made for me, woven from some of my family’s clothing. I had saved a couple of my father’s shirts, my mom’s pajamas, a shirt from a friend of mine who died of AIDS in ’94, and a shirt I got in China on the trip of a lifetime. It’s just amazing to have all these pieces together. It's just a weaving of love."
KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS
"My husband suffers from allergies especially this time of year... and well ....most of the year, but it just started kicking in again. He’s been using the stinging nettle tincture for about a week now and has given it HIGH PRAISE as to how much it has relieved his symptoms. He felt immediate results and continues to do so (we are both grateful!), but for some it can take a little time for the tincture to take effect. Anyway, my husband isn’t one to give praise gratuitously - especially multiple times - that’s how much it has helped. THANK YOU, Dana!!!"
