My Grandmothers never would have considered themselves foragers. Gathering poke was a way of life..a tradition that still runs deep today in my blood and yours.
Poke, unfortunately has gotten a bad rap and there's fear around this deeply rooted southern folk medicinal plant.
Come take a deep dive and learn the history, medicinal benefits, proper ID, harvesting tips while sittin' around the stove waiting for our own poke sallet to cook!
